Help!!!!!

yaar i saves my settings like the player name and servers but when i reopens counter strike the settings are reset and i have to type the server ip and the name again i have vista ultimate please any one tell me how to get rid of this stupid thing and ya i dont wanna change ma windows vista

DO YOU CLOSE AND SHUT DOWN PC FROM SYSTEM OR YOU JUST CLOSE THE POWER SUPPLY

In which hard drive did you installed counterstrike.
Maybe its because windows vista doesn't supports open gl so you have to use software or d3d video mode.
It happened to me also.
Does your cs by itself closes ?

i ve installed it on d drive n its supported of opengl it works on open gl n when i only reopens the cs after quiting it not restarting or sutting down the system

this is mainly because vista doesnt supoorts counterstrike,wait for a few years till a vista compatable counterstrike comes.
Till then you have to survive this.

try reinstalling vista or save the maps model and sound folder and uninstall cs,then install cs again and replace the map model and sound folders with the old folders.
